When me and my family went to the counter in the Amtrak station we weren't greeted. We weren't even given acknowledgement of our existence.
Two ladies just laughed and talked to each other. When I finally got her attention she looked at me as if I was the last person she wanted to see. I understand. You get a job, deal with people, and the novelty wears off.
You get stressed.
The lady I talked to gave us dirty look after dirty look, speaking to us in a condescending tone, telling us to speak up because she's "reading lips here." When I laughed at something said, the lady informed me that "it is not funny, sir." When she asked me something that she thought I should know, she literally waved her arms around to express how annoyed she was that I inconvenienced her. In my experience, I've learned to expect I have never been treated with such disrespect in my life from an employee of a company.
