I need to talk to a human

I don't recall that I made a complaint. My experience with Amtrak was excellent. Once I was able to speak to an agent, my trip plans we're made quickly and efficiently. The agent was very pleasant. The only issue I had was that I was on hold for approximately 35 minutes. That can be frustrating, but in my situation, I did other business while waiting for my call to be answered. It was worth the wait because I was unable to navigate the trip planning online. ismfrustrating

User's recommendation: Be prepared to be put on hold. If you expect an immediate answer, you may be frustrated.

AWESOME! Customer Service Employee Divas

On July 19, 2019 I took the 6:42pm AMTRAK train (138) from Baltimore Penn to Philadelphia 30th St Station, Train. Prior to my trip I had a grueling drive from Philly to Bmore to return a rental car. I had not booked a ticket for this particular trip...to focus trying to get to Penn Station. Two female employees assisted me with getting a ticket after being on the train. One of the attendants professionally informed the of Amtrak policies on booking ticket and attendant booked me a reasonable priced ticket. I was able to relax and greatly appreciated getting home to Philly at decent hour. Thank you, Cynthia and Christian

Rest Room lack of cleanliness

The restrooms are beyond unsanitary, urine everywhere, and a person has no choice but to use them. I was sick to my stomache to discover the right leg of my pants smelled like urine, I'm a woman it was embarassing. I had a two day ride. Brushing my teeth when I turned water on to spit mucus came up from drain a ton of it.Action needs to be taken on all of these situations immediately!!!!

I think that Amtrak should issue a sincere apology and also give you triple your money back for having to go through all of that. You would think with all of the money that they charge for their tickets that they would be able to hire someone whose sole job is to make sure that the restrooms is always nice and clean.

Every so often an exceptional employee shines through...

I was traveling on train 148 on Friday March 25. There was a conductor that assisted an older woman from a wheelchair onto the train in New Carrolton. The station girl helped too, but it's what happened after that really impressed me. This conductor made sure the woman was comfortable during her ride, and even stopped by every so often to check on her. He even offered to get something from the food car if she needed it. Later, he brought her a cup of coffee that she must have asked him for. Well, he was getting off of the train in New York and the woman was going further, so he told the woman that he would talk to the next conductor and that he(or she) would know better how to assist the woman. With all the negative comments about Amtrak employees, this one really stands out as a shining example of what customer service is really all about. Caring about people.

I have ridden Train 148 as well. If you were in the front of the train, the Conductor really is exceptional.

He always seems to be helping people and I heard him say "I've never had a bad trip!"

Kudos to this man!

I didn't catch his name but I know he is always there on Thursdays. I wish more were like him!

Just took the train from Chicago to New York, the experience was not good starting at the union station. Workers and so called conductors were not well mannered and professional at all. They seemed to enjoy giving passenger a hard time with the tiny bit of power they have... But we all know it's amtrak and it's the last resort of some sorta. So let it be...and business as usual...
