My father in law died without warning. I bought my husband the first available ticket as he's terrified of flying. Due to weather passengers were told they would get off in Reno and be placed on buses to Sacramento; (that's fine...things happen). So explain to me why...

When they tore through the luggage like that, they were acting no better than a common thief. They should be ashamed of themselves and you should be issued double your money back and an apology.

With the prices that Amtrak charges for food and drink aboard it's trains, you have to be carrying alot of cash with you to pay for everything. They are acting no better than common muggers.

PTSD? Really?!

You are clearly exploiting a tragedy to try to make a quick buck for yourself.

You don't need, (or deserve), money. What you really need is some morals.

REDUCED Amtrak Summer Ticket SALES Hours in RENO, NV

Are some 'BEAN COUNTERS' in charge? RENO is an "event driven" town in Northern NV! Currently "THE RENO RODEO" has the US's acknowledged HIGHEST PURSES in AWARDS for cowboys and cowgirls. MOST OF THE AWARD MONEY is spent while they are TOURISTS & VISITORS in town, some traveling with family members.** Yet AMTRAK Reno reduced IN-EXPLICABLY its ticket sales hours for SUMMER months [a high volume travel time] - the Reno station is only NOW open @ 7:30 a.m. on this past Friday & other weekdays! ** FOUR other customers waited when I arrived @ 7 a.m. ** ONE CUSTOMER with HIS WIFE went to nearby Greyhound - three blocks away walking, open 24/7 for its advance sales. ** A THIRD customer waited a half hour for her San Francisco Bay Area train, departing @ 8:30 a.m.! ** I OPTED OUT - So two restaurants will not get my business in Tahoe City, NV & also in Truckee, CA. ** Further = MY Hair Stylist will not get planned business for salon & shall miss HER TIP! ** The TART bus has lost a customer, from Truckee to Lake Tahoe & return. THAT impacts TART / US DoT subsidies for useage volume. ** Further = The RENO & SPARKS Mayors are pissed also! -30-
