Several phone calls about the problem I am having with redeemed points not being honored is being ignored. If you document phone calls then you an see what the problem is all about.
I need to either have the eGift cards working or that all those points get restored back to my account.
There is no reason why they are being rejected at the restaurants as there is no experation date.
How do I get proper attention to this problem?

You don't have Wi-Fi you lied and said you do there's no hot spots people need that for work shame on you guys for charging as much money as you do on those roommates it's not big enough for two people that second bookshelf you call a bed is absolutely ridiculous especially if you have any type of back or leg problems you can't even attempt to climb up the side of the wall to get to that second bed the bathrooms are disgusting look like they haven't been cleaned in years you guys are thieves and liars but I'm sure you already know that that's what you guys walk around acting like customers don't exist cuz you could care less

User's recommendation: Be more honest with people tell him that those roommates are only for one person and don't lie to people until people that you have Wi-Fi when you know you don't and retrain your attendance cuz some of them are absolutely rude and ridiculous

I've seen the way they treated this lady who couldn't even walk!
They have retaliated against me for filing several complaints online with Amtrak and also two police reports with salt Lake City and Provo Utah both places they tried to kick me off it weren't successful until Provo! Problem was I needed to go to Denver cuz that's where I paid for my ticket that's where I was going to stay with a friend that was helping me out I used all my money to buy that ticket too I was in between work and had nowhere else to go on that was stranded in a random city that was not my destination! The workers on all the transit took kept asking me for my last name I had a reserved seat on my last train and one lady was putting people in my reserved coach seat and one next to me so seat number 19 was supposed to be for me but they kept putting people in there that already had their own on seat on Amtrak!!! They put people going to Chicago and Denver in the last car of the train and people that were Irish in the last car of the train they have something against Irish people!
They discriminate they hate that ethnicity! This place is just the same you might as well call them the Greyhound bus even though they are the Amtrak the workers wear the same uniform and just look like bus drivers!!!
You can only be one skin color you can only be African American or black! Otherwise they hate and they will kick you off the train and before your destination when you haven't said anything and you are actually a shy person who doesn't talk to anybody on trains with random people you don't know!!!
>Also they tried to force you to accept a random bag they put next to your bags on the shelves above your seat that isn't yours and have police try to force you to take it as well because they want to smuggle with drugs from one state to the next and have you distribute it against your will!!!
Don't even go into an Amtrak station they treat people with disabilities like animals!

Misled. Was told of lovely chef-prepared regional meals.
Received the same microwaved 5 choices served on a plastic tray with plastic silverware. Breakfast and lunch rolled into brunch with the same food, no choices. Wanted tea, only sweetened bottle available. Wanted oatmeal, only Quaker Instant with no flavor choice.
I wanted plain. Spent over $7000.00 for this fall foliage trip from Texas to Maine. It was supposed to have a viewing lounge. Nope, never.
And the regular window in our sleeping car was too dirty to see out of. Was told of a comfortable sleeping car, but it was dirty. We spent more than 10 hours on a cramped, full bus! And more than 5 hours on a cramped commuter train, not even business class.
Clean linen yes, nothing special and the pillows were foam wedges. The hotels they booked for us were nice, we used our own Marriott points to upgrade the room.

Very dissatisfied auto train
Arrived at Lorton station Saturday after thanksgiving and after checking in vehicle these 2 Amtrak employees came up to my car with a tape measure and measured my car and said I should have paid more for my car. I paid $285 originally and they demanded I pay another $40 or we couldnt board the train. Very disrespectful!

People pay for a pleasurable experience with a beautiful view when traveling from Portland to Vancouver. Amtrak delivers a view through filthy windows.
Who cares about customer expectations? Amtrak certainly does not.

These people stole my money customer service is unresponsive and unapologetic about many hours on hold I have spent issue still unresolved the worst people to deal with as

Rude, racist and discriminatory practices
I had requested seating for PWD, I was denied, all seating were empty throughout the 19 hr trip. retaliatory practices and the staff are used to embarassed passengers.
no sleep on my 19 hr trip, coming back is worst.I could not move my leg ,somehow I let them know that the walker was put behind where I sit, The same abusive staff got me seated , I asked for help and now all of the staff are taking turns embarrassing me. n 2020, Amtrak settled with the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) to resolve claims that the company violated the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA):

The ADA is a civil rights law that prohibits discrimination against people with disabilities in many areas of public life, including transportation. The law gave Amtrak 20 years from its enactment in 1990 to make its stations accessible.

User's recommendation: file a complaint abusive behavior would be a norm and the problem has not been resolve although Amtrak made a deal with DOJ, still abusive behavior, dirty toilet, racist and retaliatory practice.

10/01/24- San Antonio to NOLA. Apparently, there are folks who ride for days to a week who don't bathe. The train reeked of human stench. People were eating, sleeping, *** for 15 hours. A man had a medical emergency and lost bowel control, and no one cleaned it up for 6 hours. Picture guys standing up to *** on a swaying train. Yes, urine on everything.
The staff were kind. The conductor handled the guy's emergency extremely well, especially considering the girlfriend was holding his leg, screeching that they had no money because they had hooked up on Facebook and were riding the train to LA.
This will make you an avowed misanthrope.
Do not recommend.

Bucket List Ride
Our train had crew problems. 5 hour delay in Minot ND because the conductor needed to sleep.
What? Who dropped the ball here? Trains are hugely susceptible to delays. Don't ever make plans for right after the train ride.
Wait until the next day for those. Amtrak has a long way to go to be considered something special.
Starting with having two train rails going across our country with one going in each direction. Our train system sucks compared to Europe.

I bought 2 round trip tickets & my credit card was charged for 2 x $181.40 Amtrak states I only booked 1 ticket. I was forced to buy a 3rd ticket today for $212.
That is $31more. Agent told me to contact my bank for a refund of 2nd charged ticket.
It is Amtraks error at my expense & my bank Capital One is blamed. This is NOT a good way to do business!

I am calling office of inspector general today as you guys will not address my problem of fraud from one of your employed I called 3 times yesterday with no satisfaction. It was my bank who called me and informed me about Amtrak trying to take almost 300 out of my account yesterday and the only way you could have got my numbers

I was livid your customer care service tried ripping me off I was told my ticket was 155.00 so I told them I'd call right back no more then two minutes I called back . I said I'd like to book for Two instead 310.00 he said 500.00 finally he said 410.00. I called a little later and got them both for 153.00

Why didn't you book (and pay for) one of these seats instead of getting on and hoping for the best? You sound old and should know better, OR you tried to get over and ended up getting under.
